Recently, the phenomenon of teen obesity has made a lot of parents and health experts concerned. Why are teens getting fatter and fatter?
In my opinion, there are three reasons for the problem. Firstly, people’s quality of life has gotten better and better. Families can afford to buy many foods, such as meat, chocolate and other sweet or oily snacks, which might make the kids overweight. Secondly, because of the popularity of TV and computers, and because students have so much homework to do, they are getting much less exercise than before. Thirdly, many teens like fast food and junk food which can easily make them overweight.
In order to lose weight and stay healthy, teens should avoid spending too much time in front of the TV or the computer and do more exercise. They should also eat a more balanced diet that includes lots of vegetables and fruits, and less fast food and junk food.
